Founded in 1894, Saltburn-by-the-Sea Golf Course is situated on the outskirts of Saltburn in North Yorkshire. This superb course offers a delightful setting with magnificent views out to sea and inland to the Cleveland Hills and the North Yorkshire National Park. Offering an undulating parkland course with views in all directions, a lively and friendly club house and a well stocked pro shop, there is everything you need for an excellent days golfing.

Saltburn-by-the-Sea Golf Course is mainly parkland and its undulating nature provides magnificent views in all directions. The course measures 5,974 yards, par 70 for men and 5,561 yards par 72 for ladies and is a fair and enjoyable test of golf for any level of golfer. The four par 3s are particularly interesting with the 12th being acclaimed as one of the best par 3s in the North East of England. As a result of considerable expenditure on drainage over the last few years, play is possible all the year round and only rarely do we use temporary greens. With experienced staff in the professional’s shop, first class caterers who have been here more than 10 years and the club’s administration team, you can be assure of a warm welcome at Saltburn.

Unique Features

Saltburn-by-the-Sea Golf Course has a superb range of facilities to make any visit enjoyable. A friendly and lively bar is open to both members and visitors and stocks a wide range of drinks. There is a large comfortable lounge/function room which is used by visiting parties, to provide them with their own privacy. It also serves as a function room for weddings, birthday parties and special events. Dining Room - The dining room can be used in conjunction with the lounge or as a separate enclosed room. It has a capacity of 40 to 50 people as a stand alone dining room. From the dining room there are good views of the course. The Barrett lounge is an upstairs lounge, which can accomodate about 40 people for business meetings, seminars and smaller functions. Snooker Room - There is a snooker room with 2 snooker tables, the use of which is available to members and guests alike. Locker Rooms - The ladies and Gents locker rooms have recently been enlarged and refurbished to the very highest standards thus providing excellent changing and showering facilities to members and visiting parties.

We are also the only stockist of Lyle and Scott Green Eagle clothing in the area. Our professional, Paul Bolton, and his assistant, Andy Robinson, are on hand to give you advice and information to ensure you enjoy your day. The club has won the William Leech Trophy and Gold Medal for first place in the grounds of Universities, Colleges and Sports Grounds in the Britain in Bloom, Northumbria Region, Competition. We are proud of this accolade which enhances the magnificent views that surround us. We are a very friendly club, welcoming both new members and visitors alike.
