About this property
The name of our deluxe guest house has an interesting derivation - Harriet Martineau, was an important local figure who lived her in the 1840's. A social reformer, novelist and one of the country's first female journalists, she wrote some of her most important works here.
We have four luxury en-suite rooms, a double, twin and two king size with flat screen TV's, DVD, mini fridge, generous hospitality tray and free Wi-Fi internet service. Each of them offers a different view, either over the village, of Tynemouth Priory and coastline or over the River Tyne. We ensure that you have the best possible start to the day with a delicious breakfast cooked to order in our open plan kitchen. We have a varied menu including some local specialities.
