Houghton North Farm provides four star hostel style accommodation around 15 miles from the start of the Hadrian's Wall Trail at Segedunum Wallsend. The farm lies on the Heritage Trail in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland countryside and is an ideal stopping off point for visitors to the National Heritage Trail. The accommodation can take groups of up to 23 people and has rooms which are both flexible and varied, including two which can sleep up to 4/5 persons.
The surrounding countryside provides endless opportunities for walking and hiking with marked woodland trails, rugged moorland and hills. For cyclists there is the Coast to Coast route from Cumbria to Newcastle or Sunderland and the Rievers route, travelling north west to Kielder from Tynemouth. The Carlisle Railway provides access to towns located along the Hadrian's Wall route and is ideal for those who do not wish to walk the entire length. If shopping is more your thing, then Newcastle and the Gateshead MetroCentre can each be easily reached from Heddon.

The property sleeps up to 23 people on total and has a kitchen/dining area in which visitors can prepare and take their meals. A further lounge and seating area is provided in which you can rest those weary limbs following a day's walking on the trail.
