Holmhead Cottage & Camping Barn - Greenhead

Camping barn and self catering cottage in Northumberland, sleeping 4-8 people. Cottage has disabled access, barn has cycle storage and space for 2 tents.

The cottage is a high quality barn conversion with a separate entrance. The back door opens onto private walled gardens (right) with magnificent views of the castle ruin. The cosy lounge has electric coal-effect fire, and there is central heating and linen all included in the price. All rooms are on the ground floor with wide doors and easy to reach switches and taps. There are 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin. The lounge-diner with TV and hi-fi has south-facing French doors opening on to a small patio and the car parking area.

Our camping barn is ideal for guests into outdoor sports like cycling, walking or climbing. It is perfectly situated near the Pennine Way and the Hadrian’s Wall National Trail. It’s simple but comfortable accommodation is suitable for up to eight people. There is an outside shower/ toilet, drying room and plenty of space for cycle storage. There is also space outside for two backpacker tents. The Barn is available at £12.50 per person per night maximum occupancy 8.There is a family or group rate to hire the whole barn £90per night.

Rooms Description

The Barn : consists of two areas equipped with one hot shower and toilet,a compact kitchen(equipped with a camping gas stove, hot and cold water and essential cooking utensils) with dining and seating areas. The open plan interiors have sleeping bench, bunk beds and a mezzanine floor. The Cottage : The kitchen area has ceramic hob and microwave/grill/oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and automatic washing machine. The bathroom is large and equipped with bars and handrails suitable for the disabled.
