An enchanting former Victorian Vicarage, The Gables bed and breakfast in Duddo village nestles midway between border town Berwick upon Tweed on the coast and the Northumberland National Park to the south. Dating from 1867, our elegantly presented B&B exudes period charm and character and is the perfect country retreat offering a tranquil base within easy reach of local activities including walking, bird-watching, premier golf, cycling, shooting and outstanding fishing on the River Tweed and its tributaries. Ideal for heritage coast and National Park walking and touring, The Gables sits within two acres of beautiful mature gardens offering panoramic views towards the Cheviots.
Our beautiful boutique bed and breakfast offers two individually themed double bedrooms both brimming with antiques furnishings and period charm. Facilities include well stocked hospitality trays with ample tea and coffee making facilities. The Tweed guest room, named after our local world famous salmon fishing river, includes a deluxe en-suite with full sized bath and separate shower cubicle, and offers Easterly views towards pretty All Saints church and the countryside beyond. The Till guest bedroom is named after a tributary of the Tweed and is a South facing room with views towards the garden and Cheviot Hills beyond. The private bathroom adjacent oozes period style and boasts a full sized bath and separate shower cubicle.
